How much space do you need?For the SMILE It’s a Party performing area, a minimum of 6ft by 6ft clear space is needed. Additional space is then required for the children to sit and watch from. For performance & safety reasons, they should be a distance of 5 ft from the performing area. What’s the best time for a party?At weekends, the best times are either 11am - 1pm, or 3pm - 5pm. If you’re having an after school party, it depends on how long it takes for all the children to get there, but these usually start between 4.15pm and 4.30pm.What venue’s do you recommend?The best venues to hire for birthday parties are local village halls, church halls, or community centres. In addition to having the necessary space for all the children and enough provisions such as tables, chairs, kitchen & toilet facilities, they usually have more than adequate parking for all guests. It also saves your home being trashed by the kids.Will you perform the show outside?Sadly, due to the puppets & equipment not being waterproof or sun-proof, the show cannot be performed outside. We can play games outside in good weather but there needs to be adult supervision for our equipment.Do you give prizes for winning games, or play pass the parcel?No we do not give out prizes just sweets, (if you are not happy with this let us know) If you want to give prizes to SMILE It’s a Party to give out to the children, but we do not provide them.How long do you need to set upThere’s lots of equipment & props which take approximately 20 minutes to set up. Around 20 minutes is needed to pack everything away too.What time will you arrive?We aim to arrive 30 minutes before the start of each party. This gives me plenty of time to meet the birthday person, and set everything up for their show.How do I book you? You will need to provide all the relevant information about the birthday person, the number of guests, the full address of the party venue, plus your contact details. This information is used to generate a booking form. It will be sent to you for your approval. Once happy all the information is correct, sign and return it with the booking fee. As soon its received, You will be posted a booking confirmation letter.Will you entertain the adults?The SMILE it’s a party show is performed specifically as a children’s show. I make no claims that it will entertain the adults, but they often remark on how enjoyable they find it too.
